Bob's Underwater Adventure |
What
is BOB? B.O.B is an acronym for Breathing Observation
Bubble. BOB is a new and very exciting
underwater motor scooter which works with the bell theory.
Remember in school when you would turn a glass upside
down in a sink of water and no water would enter the glass?
It's the same concept with the BOB unit. As we descend
you, a seal is formed and you are dry inside the bubble!
The Scooters
are very stable, easy to operate and can not be tipped
over. You can reach speeds up to 2.5 knots.
There
is a short briefing, covering the BOB equipment, breathing
and safety instructions for 30 minutes. You will then
board on a shuttle vessel and sail out to Maunalua
Bay where you will receive a final briefing
and familiarization of the BOB equipment and diving procedures
on the mother vessel before any dives are initiated.
A master diver will accompany for every three people.
After the BOB adventure, you are free to swim or snorkel
in the beautiful Maunalua Bay.
Environmentally Friendly:
B.O.B is propelled by a 12 volt battery with no engine
to put off emissions, the knowledgeable and professional
staff is very supportive of the health of our Hawaiian
reefs and the environment and would never permit any thing
to endanger the environment.
The
BOB tour is guided and conducted in groups of 4-6 people
at one time. Each group is accompanied by 3 certified
dive masters and a predetermined route is followed.
