Our training program offers you the most comprehensive lessons you'll find anywhere. With emphasis on safety and fun, you'll learn everything you need to know while having a great time. We teach Novice, Intermediate and Pro kite surf lessons.

The large majority of our kite surfing lessons are taught here in Kailua since Kailua Beach is probably the safest and most pristine kite beach in the world. And this is one way are students can get up and riding fast and safe.

Mokuleia is an intermediate to advanced riding spot but sometimes used for beginners. This is probably the most sought after kite spot in all of Oahu and perhaps all of Hawaii! But you're going to have to find out for yourselves with one of our top notch instructors.

NOVICE KITE SURF LESSONS
If you’ve never flown a power kite before than this will be your first chance to feel the raw power of a kite. Kite students beware: these kites can and have picked up our students in excess of 10ft out of the water on their very first lesson. But our students loved every second of it!

Each lesson includes the kite, harness, bar, lines, helmet, and vest, so don't worry about bringing any kite surf equipment. We have it covered. However, please bring your own sunscreen, water, booties, and a rash guard.

We at Dakine Surf, LLC. realize that every student wants to be able to kite surf, and that's why you're taking a lesson, so please listen very carefully to what your instructor has to say. Your expert instructor will show you how to set up and take apart the kite and lines, go over the wind-windows, land the kite, launch the kite from the beach, re-launch the kite from the water, and teach you other vital kite surfing techniques. These skills can also be used for snow kiting, kite buggying, and land boarding.

Please note that the 3 hour lesson is probably the most effective since the large majority of our students will be able to get to the board.

INTERMEDIATE KITE SURF LESSONS
Before taking this next lesson, make sure you've mastered the wind windows, power zones, and launching and landing the kite. Because in this lesson, we will teach you how to drag up wind, jump, loop the kite, and begin to get up on the board if you haven't already gotten up in your last lesson. We will teach you how to edge your board and where to position your kite, so you will be the most efficient at going up wind. Basically, we're going to increase the efficiency of your kite surfing to make kite surfing so much easier. This way you'll be comfortable in ripping with the best of kite surfers!

PRO KITE SURF LESSONS
If you're the type of person that wants to ride big waves, jump higher, add style, and/or ride strapless, one of our top professional kite instructors will assist you in learning what it takes to do so.

In these lessons, you will only be taught by professional kite surfers because there is no regular instructor that can help you out more than a pro!

Kiters Beware: pushing the limit of any sport especially kite surfing can cause injury and/ or death. So please be safe, and listen very carefully to what your pro kite surf instructor has to say.

A minimum of 48 HOURS notice is required to cancel any reservation. A full refund will be paid on any reservation canceled prior to this minimum notice.
