We are the only people allowed to tour the grounds of this fascinating place, which is why we include it in both our 4X4 and Land Tours. The Coco Palms has been closed and fenced off since Hurricane Iniki devastated it in 1992. Other features filmed on the grounds include Pagan Love Song, Miss Sadie Thompson, Fantasy Island, Voodoo Island, South Pacific, Deathmoon and Bird of Paradise with Debra Paget. From there the tour goes to Opaekaa Falls, then into the Wailua Forest, going deep into Kauai's interior to find the magical place Steven Spielberg found to build the massive Jurassic Park Gate and ends in an area near the base of Mt. Waialeale, the wettest spot on Earth Minimum
age 5.Guests will be asked to sign a liability waiver to take
this tour.This tour provides pick-up and drop-off at most East
and Southside hotels. If you are staying on the North Shore, you
can check in to our office at 8:15 AM.
The native forest above Waimea Canyon is home to rare and endangered plants and birds; many of which are endemic species. We have been operating tours in Koke'e State Park since 1982. Your comfort and enjoyment are top priority for our drivers. Each enjoys sharing their knowledge and aloha in their own way. On a typical day, there are about ten passengers on tour in each air conditioned van which can hold up to 14. The small groups in our comfortable, custom built vehicles, allow for an interactive exchange of information. Guests are encouraged to ask questions so that the conversation can focus on topics of particular interest to the group.
While you are enjoying the view, your guide will lay out a delicious lunch. Build your own sandwich selecting from different breads, meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Yes, we have Grey Pupon. A salad, fresh fruit, chips and Kauai Kookies round out the repast. Of course, there are juices, sodas and water available throughout the tour. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. We
will stop in Kekaha on the way down from Koke'e. This is a rest
stop but also allows a few minutes for shopping and maybe some
ice cream. From Kekaha we will head to Koloa and from there we
will unlock the gates and show you the old mill, the cane tunnel
through the mountain and then up to the top of Kilohana Crater
where you will have a great view of the whole East side of Kauai.NOTE:

Hawaii Movie Tours!!
It's
time to head into the hills, thru cane fields that are no more,
to find the famous Wailua Falls. Used in the beginning of every
Fantasy Island episode (da plane, da
plane!), we travel several miles to reach the stunning vista overlooking
this famous falls. In addition to Fantasy Island, it was seen
in Kevin Costner's Dragonfly, James Garners Castaway
Cowboy, a national Coke commercial and was one of
the last stops during CBS's third season of The Amazing Race.
This
outback Kauai tour is operated in the Wailua Forest Management
Area, under a permit issued by the Na Ala Hele Trail Access Program
of the Department of Land and Natural Resources. A portion of
the price of the tour is paid to Na Ala Hele for the maintenance
and improvement of trails on Kauai. Advance, paid reservations
are required. Reservations are non refundable except in the case
of weather cancellation. Group sizes are a minimum of 4 and a
maximum of 12.
Kokee
Kauai Tour - A full day's adventure!! Only
offered as a group tour with a minimum of 6 passengers
On
the way up to Kokee State Park you pass through the scenic, rural
countryside of Kauai. Sugar cane is still grown
extensively although it is being replaced by a variety of other
crops including coffee and seed corn. We will stop
at the major view points along the highway including Waimea Canyon
Lookout and Kalalau. Kalalau is the largest valley
along the Na Pali coast. This incredible scene is at the end of
